Sam Head
CEO
Sam has his Bachelor‘s in History and Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee but fell into the recruiting industry. Sam started at Robert Half on Milwaukee’s Accounting and Finance Direct Hire team.
Sam has spent the last seven years in recruiting, where he has been in agency recruiting and experienced in-house recruiting at Northwestern Mutual and Continental Properties. During his time handling in-house recruiting, Sam, on the client side, saw a clear need for a recruiting agency to be more of a strategic partnership than a hired gun for one-off roles. Thus, Adroit Talent was officially born in the Autumn of 2021.
Sam spends the majority of his free time with his wife, 5-year-old and newborn. Independently, he enjoys Wisconsin Sports, traveling, hiking, working out, and trying new foods.
Michelle Kurtz
Recruiting Consultant
Michelle has her B.A. and M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and spent ten years working in Inpatient Mental health treatment focusing primarily on Dual Diagnosis and substance abuse patients.
After moving to Silicon Valley in 2017, she took a leap of faith and accepted a Career Services Manager and Coach role at a Software Engineering Bootcamp in San Francisco. She got the chance to work closely with recruiters in the tech sector and learned about the recruiting process from the candidate’s perspective.
Michelle has held recruiting and talent acquisition roles within boutique agencies and large corporations. She lives in Northern California with her husband and two children. In her spare time she enjoys snowboarding and lifting weights in her spare time.
Jay Pignatiello
Managing Partner
Jay Pignatiello has been a Recruiter for going on two years. Jay quickly established himself as a relatable and down-to-earth recruiter, which has helped him to make lasting connections with candidates and clients.
Previously, Jay lived in Los Angeles, where he worked as a film company’s location manager and co-ran an internet marketing firm.
In his free time, Jay enjoys traveling, spending time with his dogs, writing stories, working on films, and writing music.
